ASPIRATION

Aspiration is a call to the Divine. — The Mother

Namaste, All.

While in search of quotations for FISH, I landed on the "WIKIPOOL" on Sri Aurobindo.
There I found the following.

The central theme of Sri Aurobindo's vision[4] is the evolution of life into a "life divine". In his own words: "Man is a transitional being. He is not final. The step from man to superman is the next approaching achievement in the earth's evolution. It is inevitable because it is at once the intention of the inner spirit and the logic of Nature's process".

That happy QUANTUM moment of the intention of the inner spirit in perfect harmony with the logic of Nature's process, (whenever that be is HERE and NOW) is called "MAHAKSHANAM" by Sri Ma Ananda Mayi.

According to Sage Patanjali that moment can occur only when one is able to reach the fourth level of intensity. There are four levels of intensity of inner intention or aspiration.

They are 1)Manda- slow pace 2) Atimatra-manda - very slow pace 3) Tivra - fast pace 4) Atimatra-tivra - very fast pace.

Every day while retiring to bed one ought to introspect the graph of one's intensity. Not for self-condemnation. But to defragment the memory system and to integrate all daily pursuits to one goal, that is Life Divine.

Pranams.

The Yoga Vasishta K.N. Subramanian The Yoga Vasishta $16.49 $11.54 Buy Now
About the Book The Yoga Vasishta of Valmiki is a monumental spiritual work containing the teachings of Vasishta to Rama. For countless centuries it has inspired and guided spiritual seekers. Academic scholars have long neglected the work but a proper study of it is sure to re-orient the attitude of the intellectuals to the non-dual reality and the world-process, and convince them that the final Advaitic Teaching is not that the world is an illusion but that it is...

The Patron of that website seems to have Yogavasishta PDF. One who is a Tamil Brahmin
will be able to register/log in and download or request a personal copy/link. Being a Kannadiga I have no access to download.

Usually SCRIBED site provides PDFs and E-Books as FREE downloads.
But definitely free VIRUS is not at all a welcome bonus.
I have deleted my entry and the comment that followed.
Sometimes ADOBE also carries VIRUS.

Thanks for the info.

De-fragmented or not, I offer all to the Mother, to Her and Sri Aurobindo, I offer all, included my [limited] understandings.
It is Her Grace that I invoke.
Thank you for clarifying.

>Thank you for the suggestion 'to introspect the graph of one's intensity' while retiring to bed and 'defragment the memory system'.
>I might try the graph image along with a breathing pattern.
>In de-fragmenting, all assorted bits and pieces can be 'arpanamastu' to the Divine Fire/Agni.

Mark it, "all assorted bits and pieces" are not offered as 'arpanamastu'. On the other hand it is this poornam to be offered to that Poornam. When de-fragmented bits and pieces would not remain as bits and pieces.

Not that I did not understand your metaphor. I am pointing towards an esoteric process practiced in the inner circles of sadhakas of Sri Vidya.

Happy to find your grasp. When you come to Bharatam I will tell you where the JEEVA SAMADHI of Bhagavan Patanjali is and how to invoke His Grace.

Yes, on grand/global scale of things this is indeed Sri Aurobindo's vision and direct experience of the Mother.
If you read 'notes on the way' and 'agenda', one can see that the work on the physical body, with the weight of the inconscience [evolutionary drag] by the Mother was heroic and at a great cost.
This might see out of reach for most of us, but how lucky we are to have so many tools of 'inner technology' that have been tried and tested by so many spiritual pioneers -available to us,according to individual ability and need.
For example, as you point out, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras offer steps and stages, which are useful, whether one is dualist/non-dualist.
Yoga Vasistha is another marvellous text, where the material and spiritual are unified and evolved, so that there is that triumphant reiteration of 'here and now'.
