How to differentiate mental illnesses from profound spiritual experiences?

Hi,

I attached herewith an article about diagnosing mental illnesses that I would like to ask for the opinions of the spiritual healers please.

Medical science appears to know about diagnosing and treating certain mental ailments.

My question to you is:

Do you know of any research that indicates that the medical scientists do know how to differentiate mental illnesses from certain profound spiritual transformation, e.g someone who is experiencing the awakening of the Kundalini energy.

If not, would people like you who have access to information higher than science, do something about it to educate and to enlighten the limit and ignorance of our human intelligence? For the sake and safety of those who might be deem mentally abnormal when all they need is spiritual guidance?

Hi, I believe this issue is a problem. In today's western psychology there is very little recognition, understanding, or acceptance of any phychic phenomena. Some people with extra sensory perception has been know to be diagnosed as having mental illness. Generally speaking I think also that the majority of parents would not understand a gifted child. There is a need to educate and raise awareness of our human potential, consciousness, different levels of awareness etc. I strive to foster better understanding amongst the people with whom I have contact.
