By this time there must have been numbers of blogs written on the fatwa issued by one Islamic organization in India, expressing the anger, disagreement, discontent over the fatwa. This present article is certainly not an effort to be one among them. This is also not just another attempt to condemn the Islamic community for their different views. Being a devotee of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, I have learned by this time that I should not separate any section of Life, be it a stone or a person,… Continue
Sometimes, when one feels impatient on the path of spiritual realisation, it is worth noting the 3 factors pointed out by the Mother: 1. time-scale, 2.understanding of failures, 3. effort and circumstance. These are Her words:
''From the point of view of spiritual realisation, time has no concrete reality; all depends on the sincerity and intensity of the aspiration, on the steadiness of the effort. Some can do in a few weeks and even days what takes years for others. Moreover, as the… Continue

All-inclusiveness cannot accommodate any kind of isolation by nature and definition. And yet the human mind is capable of that. Let me clarify. One asserts that one's guru is everything. And grace is sought from that guru (only!) who is everything. But… Continue

''Faith does not depend upon experience; it is something that is there before experience. When one starts the yoga, it is not usually on the strength of experience, but on the strength of faith. It is so not only in yoga and the spiritual life, but in ordinary life also. All men of action, discoverers, inventors, creators of knowledge proceed by faith and, until the proof is made or the thing done, they go on in spite of disappointment, failure, disproof, denial because of something in… Continue

"The Avatar is always a dual phenomenon of divinity and humanity; the Divine takes upon himself the human nature with all its outward limitations and makes them the circumstances, means, instruments of the divine consciousness and the divine power, a vessel of the divine birth and the divine works. But so surely it must be, since otherwise the object of the Avatar’s descent is not fulfilled; for that object is precisely to show that the human birth with all its limitations can be made such a mea… Continue

Hi,
I attached herewith an article about diagnosing mental illnesses that I would like to ask… Continue
While in search of quotations for FISH, I landed on the "WIKIPOOL" on Sri Aurobindo.
There I found the following.
The central theme of Sri Aurobindo's vision[4] is the evolution of life into a "life divine". In his own words: "Man is a transitional being. He is not final. The… Continue
We do not need to make things complicated, when Sri Aurobindo himself places the methods of opening and receiving the Divine Presence into our mind, heart and body.
What is stopping us from applying this? In 24 hours, how many minutes do we actually remember to do this?
No, we humans always want something more complicated...
May we simply open, open and open to the Divine, with quiet mind, and receive Peace, Light, Ananda and a Force that works!
'' In this yoga the whole principle… Continue
A CHANGE of this kind, the change from the mental and vital to the spiritual order of life, must necessarily be accomplished in the individual and in a great number of individuals before it can lay any effective hold upon the community. The Spirit in humanity discovers, develops, builds into form in the individual man: it is through the progressive and formative individual that it offers the discovery and the chance of a new self-creation to the mind of the race. For the communal mind holds thin… Continue
IN CONSIDERING Indian civilisation and its renascence, I suggested that a
powerful new creation in all fields was our great need, the meaning of the renascence and the one way of preserving the civilisation. Confronted with the huge rush of modern life and thought, invaded by another dominant civilisation almost her opposite or inspired at least with a very different spirit to her own, India can only survive by confronting, this raw, new, aggressive, powerful world with fresh diviner creations o… Continue
"India is an epitome of the whole world
and possesses all the leading features of
other lands - the most bewitching scenery,
the most fertile soil, the most dense forests,
the highest mountains, some of the biggest rivers,
and intensely cold seasons may be found along with
arid, treeless deserts, sandy waterless plains.
Our most valuable and most instructive materials
in the history of man are treasured up in India."

Sri Aurobindo was the last Avatar in a human body.
That is what The Mother has said.
She has also said that Sri Aurobindo would return, but NOT in a human body — NOT in a body born as a human being or of a human being. And His return may even be as late as five hundred years from his departure.
I have said earlier also that according to The Mother, Sri Aurobindo was an emanation of the Supreme. He was / is an Avatar of The Supreme. He came to transcend the Overmind consciousness and to cause t… Continue
''When you are in a particular set of circumstances and certain events take place, these events often oppose your desire or what seems best of you, and often you happen to regret this and say to yourself, "Ah! how good it would have been if it were otherwise, if it had been like this or like that", for little things and big things… Then years pass by, events are unfolded; you progress, become more conscious, understand better, and when you look back, you notice - first with astonishment, then… Continue
Namaste, All.
Attempts based on personal experiences lead to new findings or fresh interpretations of pain and healing.
And here and there fragments of techniques are marketed on a no-loss-no-profit or huge fortune reep basis.
To India introducing Bi-Aura Foundation activity as 'the need of the hour', from UK, sounds great(farce!).
And there is of course always people to support such imports.
Why not try and support SWADESHI initiatives, instead?… Continue
Namaste, Dear All.
FISH(Foundation for Indian Scientific Heritage) is a Google Group, a platform for discussion.
I started this Group with an Action Plan which includes creating Indian Scientific Heritage material in English as the Syllabus for Indian Writing in English: M.A in Literature Course.
The UGC (University Grants Commission) has made it mandatory to teach Indian Writing in English. They have works of Sri Aurobindo included in it. So far so good.
But we need more. So, p… Continue

Whenever any sublime teaching appears on earth, there are emerging new sects appropriating of them. Appear crackpots claiming to be the reincarnation of the great Masters and, as always, are often surrounded by poor dupes who blindly believe their delusions. And those who, seriously, study and follow these teachings, are labeled as liars by them.
Yes, certainly, human misery knows no bounds. Continue
