For quite sometime I felt no urge to write anything on Dada it was almost like Ruru in Love and Death. My personal relation with him dates back to as far back as 1957. So many small and vivid anecdotes float in front as I deeply remember, love and…

Profile Information

Please tell us something about yourself.
Interested mainly in the Adventure of Consciousness,I believe in human progress and evolution and in the inner capacity of Man to outgrow and master all his imperfections and darkness, to grow into a creative, constructive and higher divine being, along with the society, conquering all inner and outer darkness, crossing all barriers and divisions.
I have heard of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother from my parents since childhood. Since adolescence, I was inspired by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother (Mira Alfassa) and sought to understand and follow Their Teaching, making others understand and follow Them. In 1956, I read The Life Divine, and gradually, I read almost all that is written by Them and about Them. I have visited the Ashram and Auroville some times. I organized and managed some Sri Aurobindo centres, in different parts of Orissa, and often met Prapatti and Ramkrishna Das. Mira Aditi Centre has published my Bengali translations of some books including Sri Aurobindo or the Adventure of Consciousness by Satprem, India's Rebirth and India the Mother, collections from the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother respectively.

Her Approval

As I prayed before The Mother for the fulfillment and realization of my aspiration and for the progress of ASPIRATION, She blessed me through Savitri:

“Well hast thou done and I approve thy choice.
If this is all, then all is surely well;
If there is more, then all can still be well.
Whether it seem good or evil to men's eyes,
Only for good the secret Will can work.

Our destiny is written in double terms:
Through Nature's contraries we draw nearer God;
Out of the darkness we still gro

Beyond Sufferings!

Beyond all sufferings, beyond all sin and fall, beyond all struggles and tussles and wrestles of human life, there a Truth, a Hope — the ensured Hope of the Dawn, of the Sunrise after the Darkest of the Dark Nights. There is the ensured Hope of the Eternal Joy after Time, and even after Death! There are Dreams of Hope and Joy and Victory beyond all the harsh realities and sins and falls of life — Dreams which are more real than life.

The Task before us

The Task before us is to change the world — from the imperfect mental world to the Supramental World of Perfection, the New World.

But why? And how?

Why:

Some fifty thousand to more than a million years back, the early human beings started their journey on earth, definitely with hopes for Joy and Bliss, for satisfaction and fulfilment, for conquering diseases and Death, with inquisition and thirst for knowledge in their eyes and their fresh undisturbed intelligence. They marched onwards and c… Continue

The Luminous Future

More than seventy-five years back, The Mother, gave us a Call:

“Leaving the past far behind us, let us run towards a luminous future.”

The luminous future was not only a dream, not only a hope : though the words created some aspiring dreams in some people and had arisen some hopes, some inspired hopes in some people. It was a direction given by The Mother to the human race. We were asked to transcend our past and run towards the luminous certitude in Future.

The Future of… Continue

You know, I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, and he died for our sins, and took the punishment for our sins, and rose from the grave and is seated at the right-hand of the Father, God Almighty. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. He died as a propitiation for our sins, and rose from the dead. There is a hell, in the center of the earth, and there is a heaven, a place prepared for those who are cleansed and forgiven, because of Christ's shed blood and He being the perfect sacrafice for our sins. When you invite Jesus to be your savior, He forgives you and cleanses you and prepares you for His heavenly Kingdom. You know you have been forgiven of all your wrong doing. The bible is the living Word of God, and Jesus is that living Word. He (the Holy Spirit) speaks through the scripture. There are three persons, but One God. The three in One are called Elohim. There is the heavenly Father, who is Almighty, in heaven, and there is Jesus, His son, who was the "Word made flesh" who dwelt among us, now in heaven. And there is the Holy Spirit, who was sent to the Jewish Disciples, on the day of Pentecost. He is the One on earth, who dwells with and in God's people. Through Jesus, through His name, we come to the Father, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us. So if you ask Jesus to come into your heart in prayer, and ask Him to be your Savior from sin, and to forgive you for your sins, and to cleanse you with His blood, and to give you eternal life, He will. Just pray to the heavenly Father in His name. Jackie
